Well, Amigos, Memorial Day is our Special Day to say a heartfelt thank you to all those who have served and are serving today to protect us from our enemies, of which we seemingly have an endless supply in every generation.    Never a shortage of foes – friends harder to come by these days.   Sigh.

The Red Man is proud of the Pups who have been recruited to be War Dogs and salutes them all on this Memorial Day!   From the more than 10,000 of you who fought bravely in fifteen platoons in Europe and the Pacific during World War II to the ones who roamed the hills of Korea and the jungles of Viet Nam to those who thirsted in Desert Storm and sniffed for i.e.d.’s  in Iraq and Afghanistan – you’re the Best of the Best and I.O.U. for your service above and beyond the call of duty!

Mine eyes may wonder about the Glory and whether Truth really marches on, but I have no doubt that your courage in the Valley of the Shadow is real.   The Red Man stands at attention today as the flags wave above him.
