White rocking chairs now at Casa de Canterbury?
Well Amigos take a good look at this picture. The white rockers look somewhat strange on the front porch of Casa de Canterbury instead of their usual home next to the swing on the front porch of Worsham Street in Texas, but The Red Man is nothing if not flexible and will have to get used to the new look.
The 16 foot rental truck stuff is now unloaded and the New Great Challenge appears to be finding a place for the contents of the gazillion boxes we brought from Texas.
The old woman Slow’s office is SRO which is the abbreviation for Standing Room Only and I’m not just whistling Dixie about that. So far my bed is the only thing that remains free of clutter. Clutter, clutter, everywhere and not a place to walk. Well I never…no truly I never.
My nerves are jangling at this point and I’m actually looking forward to watching the final episode of season one of Orange is the New Black tonight. Apparently prisons are full of entertaining lesbians and The Red Man is now a fan of the inmates in that show. Who’s surprised.
Get me outta here Percy. I need a disco nap before the next wave of excitement.
Now that I am older it takes me longer to pack and unpack. Maybe I am almost? sick of moving! lol

Ma thinks the chairs look great on the porch. She’s getting restless to get our front and back porches cleaned up for spring. A new back porch rocker is on the list. The front one needs a coat of paint, but not likely to happen the way Ma’s napping everyday. When her friend Bev comes for her annual Spring Visit, the two of them plan to tackle jobs Ma just can’t seem to get done.
Your Poppy is feeling for you Red. There’s been a lot of packing, traveling, and unpacking in your life lately. With the nice weather, maybe you can get some R and R out back away from all the clutter and activity. It’ll take some time, but Slow and Pretty will sort it all out, and you will be a happy family together in a snug home.

Dear Poppy and Cassie P,
It’s probably a good idea that your Ma is napping every day – and not trying to do something so foolish as rambling around trying to clean porches which will be there when she feels better anyway. Make that woman take care of herself! 🙂
Maybe Bev will be able to take you for a walk or two when she comes for her Spring Visit! We are hoping for a walk ourselves. We went ONE time last week to our little citified area, but that barely is a stroll. The Red Man needs some wide open spaces for his exercise and more than once a week, if you don’t mind.
We are sending Paw Snaps and Twirls from Casa de Canterbury to our best friends in Pennsylvania tonight and hoping that all will be doing better soon! Having a Ma in recovery is no fun for anyone. 😦
Your Red Man

I’m still unpacking from my move 16 months ago (slow I am). I want rockers like that on my front porch 🙂

Dear Favorite Australian Author and Friend,
We are not concerned that you are still unpacking because you had to totally re-do your new home – at least we didn’t have to go through that additional hell. 🙂
We can highly recomment the rocking chairs – had them for the past 4 years in Texas and spent MANY fond hours rocking and meditating on the meaning of life as we rocked on Worsham Street. Good for the writing!
Hope you are doing well and glad to hear from you…

If anything remains unpacked after five years, throw it away! Haven’t seen any of Orange is the new black, is this something we would love?

Excellent advice, Animalcouriers. We will keep this in mind. By all means, see Orange is the new Black! Pretty and Slow have only been able to figure out how to set up Netflix in the last few months because of their recurring being technologically challenged. Now, they have been set free to binge watch previously forbidden flix – so they have just finished Season One of Orange and are HOOKED! Dark – but great acting and great writing – and almost all women. What’s not to like?? 🙂
