Water, water everywhere and I’d like to have a drink of something a little stronger while I’m watching the Olympics. There’s good news and bad news in The Middle. The good news is you never get hungry because you have all the manna you can eat – the bad news is manna is the only item on the menu and The Red Man confesses you can have too much of a good thing, if you catch my drift. As for thirst quenching, pure spring water from some unknown source is the beverage of choice for us by the Great Whoever. Whatever, Whoever.

Plenty of water at the 2016 Olympics in Rio with the Synchronized Platform Diving as the Chinese duo of Aisen Chen and Yue Lin won the Gold without too much trouble. The Red Man sends Paw Snaps and Twirls to the Amazing Asians for their showing. This Dynamic Duo was poetry in motion as Granny Selma would have said when she was in her right mind.

Celebrating the Gold is the same in any language

Speaking of Dynamic Duos in the water, how about those American women in the 100M Breaststroke…Lilly King put her money where her mouth was the night before. Paw Snaps and Twirls to you girls from The Middle and keep those medals coming, Team USA.

Not exactly poetry – but Lilly King wins Gold

Thanks, Thanks, Thanks to one of The Red Man’s faithful followers, the gorgeous Miss Harper Lee, for letting us know that Olympic tennis is on the Bravo! channel at Casa de Canterbury. This is the best news ever for the Old Woman Slow and Pretty who love their tennis and had been in a tizzy trying to figure out how they could watch their favorite tennis players in the international games. Hooray for Miss Harper Lee – The Red Man sends Paw Snaps and Twirls to you all the way in New Orleans, Louisiana. Slow and Pretty will toast you tonight!

And no one could have been happier than the Old Woman Slow who has adored Rafael Nadal for what seems like an eternity. She and Pretty were both thrilled to see him in the Opening Ceremony Friday night when he carried Spain’s flag in the parade of nations.
