The good news is the Angel Band played, Big Dawg Bernard came to The Middle to announce promotions and this time when the roll was called up yonder The Red Man’s name was on it. He made it to the Top and joined his running buddies Tennis Ball Obsessed Chelsea, Paw Licker Annie, Smokey Lonesome Ollie and even ran into Sassy the Old One. It was a joyous reunion – everyone was happy to see him…well, maybe not happy…more like glad he made it, if you catch my drift.
In September, 2010 Red began his rants and raves with his blog I’m a Talker which I hope to be able to re-blog for the first two “Likes” he ever had: Wayside Artist and Terry1954. They have stayed with us for the whole ride with Red and Pretty and the Old Woman Slow and the rest of the cyberspace folks who gave us 69,666 hits in the past six years while posting 666 posts – a nice number to end with, don’t you think?
It’s very hard for me to let go of Red’s Rants and Raves but I find it difficult to “edit” for Red when he no longer dictates to me while lying next to my feet as I sit at my desk. I feel I have to let him rest in peace with his brother and sisters.
I hope all of Red’s 1,649 followers will follow me to my I’ll Call It posts (www.iwillcallit.com.) – I think many of you already have – and so the writings and photos from Casa de Canterbury will continue on my other site, hopefully with Red’s keen insights and observations serving as my muse when the days lack inspiration otherwise.
I thank all of you so very much for the “likes” and “comments” and hits through the past six years. Truly Red’s Rants and Raves changed my life.
I am sad to see this but completely understand. And since I do follow the your other blogs never know when Red Man will show. Hope Hermine didn’t stop in and say hello.

Yes, I know you understand totally…we all owe our Florida followers a huge debt of gratitude for introducing The Red Man to Twitter – we would have never done it without your constant support and Tweets. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your love and support.
We have had rains and heavy winds since last night but luckily the limbs we lost were small ones. Tomorrow should be a beautiful day for SC Pride here in Columbia!
Bless all of you for the work you do for all of us!

Aw…this one moved me to bittersweet tears. The Red Man and Miss Poppy Seed brought together, by way of blogging in cyberspace, two people who otherwise would never have know each other. We now are fast friends and family. We cheer each other on and grieve losses.
How I hate to say goodbye to Red’s rants. Too much like finally letting go of my old beloved dogs who romp along with Red, Chelsea, Annie and Ollie in the paradise called Dog Heaven. Bravo Red for finally making it to the Big Red Fire Hydrant in the Sky. Don’t try to run off now. 😀
To you Slow, Pretty, Squirrel Chaser Spike and Calamity Charly, I send my love and a promise to continue to read Slow’s excellent blog. One that makes me laugh and breaks my heart. One that lives out loud and calls it like it is!
Salute a cent’anno! (Health and hundred years)

Ann, Pops, Cassie P, Frankie and The Doctor –
I was amazed when I went back to the very first post Red did six years ago to see that the first one to “like” us was you! I can’t believe our families have been together for SIX years now…I still think of Pops and Cassie P as young and younger but realize with a start that they are aging along with the rest of us. Salute a cent’anno to them as well!
But to have you expand your family with not just one, but two, fabulous horses in the past few years is the most wonderful blessing of all. We have loved sharing your rides, carrots, candies and camera shots. Alliteration is my one weakness!
Red brought us together, and for that I am beyond Thunder Dome grateful.
Sweet Lady Gaga.
Health and hundred years – I like that.
I love you,
Sheila
