…or see ONE MORE Christmas present…
Well Amigos, The Red Man is done with Christmas. Going, going, gone. Stick a fork in it. Adios. Adieu.
Fare thee well, for I must leave thee – do not let the parting grieve thee. All good things must come to an end, etc., etc., etc.
And of course, we are happy that 2015 has come to an end because The Red Man knows one thing for sure: things always are better in even-numbered years. 2016 has a better sound to it somehow.
To steal a motto from Tony, one of our followers in Wisconsin: Wipe the slate clean in 2016!
Happy New Year, Percy – and the same to all of our cyberspace Sports Fans around the world who will be watching the Big Ball drop on New Year’s Eve in their own time zones. All of us at Casa de Canterbury hope you’ll make the most of your clean slate in the coming year.
Red is like me. I’ve been that way since I was about 9 or 10. By 3PM on Christmas day, I am outta there.

I remember my mother used to take down the Christmas decorations the day after Christmas every year – of course, she’d had them up since Halloween!! Well, maybe not Halloween…but early November for sure. And that was when she was in her RIGHT mind.
T and I feel the same way, but we leave the lights up until New Year’s because i love the lights!!
Happy New Year, my friend!!

Happy New Year to you and Teresa! We have lights up, too, and hubby won’t let me take them down until after the new year. Rubbing my hands together in anticipation . . . . hahaha Here’s to a great 2016!

I’m so ready for Christmas music to stop, one of the regional stations has been playing it since Halloween night! Enough! Wishing your family a wonderful new year, I know you are like me, you are counting down to spring drills and scrimmages.

Thanks, Robin – I am so ready for a NEW football season – this one SUCKED!! The Gamecocks have a new coach Will Muschamp who is an old Longhorns coach. I figured if he was a good coach, the Horns would’ve wanted him to replace Mack Brown. Anyway, all I want for Christmas is better scores in 2016 for both my teams…oh, yeah, and I wouldn’t mind peace on earth, either. Seriously.
Casa de Canterbury wishes you all the best in the New Year!! Thank you so much for being our friend.

And so, Dianne, you will see the New Year before we do – and we are counting on you to make 2016 a better one in Australia while we do our best in the USA to follow your lead. Bless you, bless you. All of us at Casa de Canterbury love our friends in the RUC and are thankful for you!!

Girl, you are so sweet, but Red is still hanging on…he was just doing some heavy sleeping. Now that you mention it, he does look out of this world in the picture – that’s his TV bed!!
Your Red loved you, too, Sweet.
Happy New Year to one and all of my family in Texas!!
Much love,
Sheila

Red loses his Christmas cheer along with Slow as soon as the presents are gone! Please tell your Ma Pretty has now transformed the Christmas to a Valentine’s Day tree so there’s no telling when that blasted tree will be out of the living room!! 🙂
